Mom may be in Seattle but her mind is still at home. We both woke up around 8:00 a.m. Normally, we would sit at the dining table while she drank coffee and I made lists. Today, however, she immediately opened her iPad and started working on school stuff. Talking with her was a futile endeavor so I ate a bowl of strawberries instead. Around 9:30, I woke up JP and we went to the Sawmill Cafe for breakfast. The two of them shopped for work clothes, we dropped him off, and Mom and I continued grocery shopping. After a mid-afternoon nap, I prepared hobo dinners which we cooked on the grill while enjoying a campfire and tiki torches. We're getting ready to play rummy now and will finish off the evening with a funny movie we think Mom will enjoy. Fun, fun. I wish my parents lived closer.
