A year ago today, February 6, 2012, I had my ACL reconstructive surgery. Here's a look back. Notice how many events in my life involved crutches. I was so ready to burn those things by the time I was able to walk without them. I still have scars on my sides from the skin being rubbed raw. The body is an amazing work of art in its ability to form new growth and heal. Help from loved ones didn't hurt either. Thank you, God, for a knee that works!

Aaron Jeoffrey was one of my favorite groups in the 90s. I love this song. I just found a whole stash of them on YouTube. Be prepared for an onslaught. I also rediscovered some of my old CDs the other day.

Bits and Stuff

I had many full, busy days last week. I helped celebrate my momMA's birthday, met with a foster care/adoption agency, went to watch a special cheerleader, babysat my favorite "Things," and slept a lot. From the reaction of my WA parents, I gave new meaning to the phrase "death warmed over." I will be glad when I'm back to normal health and some of the unknowns are dealt with. In the meantime, I'm thankful for people to love and activities that occupy my time. Here is a peek into my life...events and pictures that make me smile and a song that has taken up residence on the repeat cycle in my brain.
