JP and I put together a raised bed garden. I think it will be much better than the one in Seattle because there aren't as many monstrous weeds to contend with. We are growing several types of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, peas and some flowers. We enjoyed fireworks in honor of a rather nationally famous man who passed away this winter. He is from my hometown. Family from both sides came over for a campfire and to watch the display. Sunday, I went for a drive around the Refuge. The animals were very active. I saw geese, swans, ducks, loons, an osprey, an eagle, a beaver, turtles and a muskrat. Then we went fishing...of course. I loved every minute of all of it. My brother bought me the candle. He's the best.
